Custom Columns - Associating Internal Data

Once you have submitted your tracking requests, Gnosis can associate your business's internal data with containers or bookings. We support a variety of data types and there are no limits on the number of custom columns you can create to associate with the imports or exports that are tracked in Gnosis.

Supported Data Types

  • Text (strings)
  • Numbers
  • Dates
  • Booleans

🧾 Associating Purchase Orders (PO Numbers)

You may associate PO numbers with containers as custom columns.

⚠️

Note:
Advanced PO-level reporting requires CLM+

While you are more than welcome to register any and all custom columns in our platform, including PO Numbers and SKUs, customers who purchase CLM+ have access to:

  • PO-level metrics
  • SKU-level analytics
  • Configurable reporting inside the Gnosis portal

Create Custom Column Registry

First you will need to create a custom column for a given base database table, e.g. container.

https://api.freight.fyi/api/v2/docs#/Custom%20Column/custom_column_create_custom_column_registry:~:text=Create-,Custom,-Column%20Registry

{
  "field_name": "order_placed_date",
  "type": "date",
  "base_database_table": "container",
  "description": "Date when order was placed"
}

Once the column registry has been created you can create or update the associated custom column value using the uuid for the associated object record
